Description
6.5 Creedmoor 142 Grain Nosler AccuBond LR~Ā TheĀ 6.5mm Creedmoor,Ā is aĀ centerfireĀ rifleĀ cartridgeĀ introducedĀ in 2007Ā as a modification of theĀ .30 TC,Ā which was based on theĀ .308 Winchester. It was designed specifically forĀ long-range target shooting,Ā although it is also achieving success inĀ gameĀ hunting.Ā Bullet for bullet, the 6.5mm Creedmoor achieves a slowerĀ muzzle velocityĀ than longer cartridges such as theĀ 6.5-284 NormaĀ orĀ magnum cartridgesĀ such as theĀ 6.5mm Remington Magnum. However, due to its 2.825 inches (71.8Ā mm)Ā overall length, it is capable of being chambered in short-actionĀ bolt-action riflesĀ andĀ AR-10Ā semi-automatic rifles.
Long-range shooter Ray āRayDogā Sanchez summarized theĀ bolt-actionĀ Tubb 2000Ā rifle in 6.5mm Creedmoor as āboringly accurateā at 1,000 yards (910Ā m). He asserted the rifle and ammunition combination he used was able to maintain sub-MOA groups at 1000 yards.

The Bulletā
The AccuBond Long Range (LR) bullet line was developed in response to the escalating demand from long-range hunters who were asking for a hunting bullet that could keep up with todayās level of high-grade optics and ultra-high velocity cartridges in order to stretch practical shooting yardages past 1,000 yards; yet still perform on big-game animals. In order to accommodate these extreme parameters, the AccuBond-LR bullet was designed to have a minimum impact velocity of 1300fps in order to reliably expand or mushroom at those much longer distances, compared to the 1800fps minimum impact velocity of all other NoslerĀ® hunting bullets.
