Description
7mm Remington Magnum 175 Grain Nosler ABLR Long Range Accubond~Ā TheĀ 7mm Remington MagnumĀ rifle cartridge was introduced as a commercially available round in 1962,Ā along with the newĀ Remington Model 700Ā bolt-action rifle. On its introduction, the 7mm Remington Magnum substantially usurped the market share held by theĀ .264 Winchester Magnum, which went into sharp decline in popularity and sales after 1962.Ā It is a member of theĀ belted magnumĀ family that is directly derived from the venerableĀ .375 H&H Magnum.Ā The original purpose of the belted magnum concept taken from theĀ .300 H&H MagnumĀ was to provide preciseĀ headspaceĀ control, since the sloping shoulders, while easing cartridge extraction, were unsuitable for this purpose. Improved cartridge extraction reliability is desirable while hunting dangerous game, which would be of concern when needing a fast follow up shot. The 7mm Remington Magnum is based on the commercial Winchester .264 Winchester Magnum, .338 Winchester Magnum, and .458 Winchester Magnum, which were based on the same belted .300 H&H Magnum and .375 H&H Magnum cases, trimmed to nearly the same length as theĀ .270 Weatherby Magnum

The Bulletā
The AccuBond Long Range (LR) bullet line was developed in response to the escalating demand from long-range hunters who were asking for a hunting bullet that could keep up with todayās level of high-grade optics and ultra-high velocity cartridges in order to stretch practical shooting yardages past 1,000 yards; yet still perform on big-game animals. In order to accommodate these extreme parameters, the AccuBond-LR bullet was designed to have a minimum impact velocity of 1300fps in order to reliably expand or mushroom at those much longer distances, compared to the 1800fps minimum impact velocity of all other NoslerĀ® hunting bullets.
