  • .223 Remington 50 Grain Speer TNT Hollow Point!~ The development of the cartridge which eventually became the .223 Remington was intrinsically linked to the development of a new lightweight combat rifle. The cartridge and rifle were developed by Fairchild Industries, Remington Arms and several engineers working toward a goal developed by U.S. Continental Army Command (CONARC). Early development work began in 1957. A project to create a small caliber high velocity (SCHV) firearm was created. Eugene Stoner of ArmaLite was invited to scale down the AR-10 (7.62 mm) design. Winchester was also invited to participate. The parameters requested by CONARC were:

    • .22 caliber
    • Bullet exceeding supersonic speed at 500 yards
    • Rifle weight 6 lbs
    • Magazine capacity of 20 rounds
    • Select fire for both semi-automatic and fully automatic use
    • Penetration of US steel helmet one side, at 500 yards
    • Penetration of .135″ steel plate at 500 yards
    • Accuracy and ballistics equal to M2 ball ammunition (.30-06 M1 Garand)
    • Wounding ability equal to the M1 Carbine

Our 100% Hand-Loaded 50 grain TNT rounds are loaded with extremely tight tolerances, producing highly accurate, consistent and reliable performance with each and every shot! Our proprietary load formulas and loading process create the finest round of ammunition available on the commercial market today we feel. If you don’t load your own ammunition- let us do it for you!

Speer created its first bullet more than 70 years ago, and today, the company still manufactures superior components, such as Speer TNT Varmint Bullets. Specific to varmint shooting, these bullets are a cut above the rest.

TNT gives you what you want most-superior on-game performance. Starting with TNT’s thin precision jacket, Speer added internal fluting and a dead-soft lead core to ensure complete bullet disruption. Speer finishes the forming with a long ogive and a small hollow point. This gives you the ballistic coefficients needed for long shots. In fact, TNT’s coefficients rival those of similar boat tail bullets. In a little over ten years, TNT has become a best seller. Why? Great accuracy and impressive terminal performance. These TNT Bullets are explosive and accurate. TNT gives you what you want most—superior on-game performance. A thin precision jacket and internal fluting ensures complete bullet disruption. Because of its great accuracy and impressive terminal performance, TNT has become one of Speer Bullets’ hottest sellers.

.223 REMINGTON 55 grain Hornady V-Max Bullets feature a polymer tip which enhances accuracy and promotes devastating expansion. The tip raises the ballistic coefficient for faster velocity and helps to stabilize the bullet in flight. It also acts as a wedge, initiating bullet expansion.

The V-Max-The ideal combination of accuracy, expansion, and fragmentation.

With its combination of proven materials, innovative design and streamlined profile, the Hornady V-MAX represent the pinnacle of what a specialized varmint bullet can achieve, offering straight-line trajectories, enhanced accuracy, dramatic expansion and explosive fragmentation at a wide range of distances and velocities.

The industry’s leading varmint bullet with polymer tip and streamlined design results in flat trajectories. The concentricity of the match grade AMP® bullet jacket provides maximum accuracy at all ranges as well as explosive expansion, even at velocities as low as 1600 fps.

    POLYMER TIP

The secret to the explosive terminal performance of the V-Max® is a hollow cavity resting between the tip’s shaft and the body of the bullet. Upon impact, the hard shaft builds up speed and energy before driving into the core, causing the entire package to rapidly expand to the point of violent fragmentation, even at low terminal velocities.

    HIGHER BALLISTIC COEFFICIENT

Hornady combines the sharp, pointed polymer tip with the most aerodynamic profile for a high ballistic coefficient. The V-MAX® profile also provides the maximum bearing surface for added in-flight stability.

    SWAGED LEAD CORE

The swaging process allows the precise formation of the core up and around the tip, with a cavity under the tip’s stem. This allows the tip to build up energy before smashing into the core, causing dramatic fragmentation of the core and jacket.

PRECISE BOATTAIL & FLAT BASE DESIGNS

Utilizing the proper base design provides incredible in-flight stability for long-range shooting.

  • .243 Winchester 100 Grain Nosler Partition~ The .243 Winchester (6×52mm) is a popular sporting rifle cartridge. Initially designed as a target/varmint round, it may be used for animals such as coyotes, blacktail deer, whitetail deer, mule deer, pronghorns, and wild hogs. It can also be used against larger animals such as black bears and elk but is sometimes said to be “too light” for such large animals. Rounds of at least 90 grains are better suited for hunting larger animals while rounds less than 90 grains are more suitable for varmints. The .243 is based on a necked down .308 cartridge case. It is very popular with target shooters, metallic silhouette, and long range shooters, because of its accuracy and low recoil. This cartridge was first introduced in 1955 for the Winchester Model 70 bolt-action and Model 88 lever-action sporting rifles and quickly gained popularity among sportsmen worldwide. Just about every major manufacturer offers rifles chambered in .243.

Our 100% Hand-Loaded .243 Winchester 100 grain Nosler Partition rounds are loaded with extremely tight tolerances, producing highly accurate, consistent and reliable performance with each and every shot! Proprietary load formulas and our hand loading techniques offer the finest ammunition on the commercial market today.

Nosler’s special lead alloy, dual core provides superior mushrooming performance at virtually all impact velocities. The Partition’s fully tapered copper jacket gradually thickens along the bullet’s axis, controlling the core’s mushroom for controlled, uniform expansion. An integral partition separates the bullet’s two cores, holding two-thirds of the bullet’s original weight in the rear core to fuel a deep penetration every time. Special crimp locks help the bullet resist deformation, even with the heaviest of magnum loads. Each Partition bullet is designed by Nosler engineers to give you the optimum length, weight, and ogive design for each caliber to give you maximum flight and terminal performance. Minimum impact velocity: 1800 fps. There aren’t a lot of true disadvantages to this bullet because it is truly “debugged” technology. Newer bullets are very specialized for certain uses – some are for large game, some are for long range, and some are just for penetration or expansion. The Nosler Partition is more of a “jack of all trades and master of none” at this stage in bullet technology.

Nosler’s Ballistic Tip Bullets are designed for violent expansion upon impact. The bullet is tipped with a polycarbonate tip which rapidly drives back forcing the thin jacket to expand and fragment. The heavy base prevents deformation during firing and the boat-tail design increases the ballistic efficiency of the bullet. These bullets deliver the accuracy, consistency and down-range punch required for clean kills in all situations. These flat-shooting, wind-defying bullets utilize ballistic-designed boat-tails and polymer tips to increase long-range efficiency and protect against tip damage in the magazine. Unique tapered jacket provides controlled expansion at all practical ranges and velocities.

The Bullet: Berger Varmint Bullets were designed specifically for the varmint hunter looking for an accurate bullet that will deliver extreme accuracy, consistent instant expansion and devastating results. The large nose opening expands instantly upon impact dumping all of the bullets energy into the target causing extreme expansion creating the highest possible opportunity for a one-shot kill. This bullet is not recommended for the varmint hunter who is looking for a bullet that will not damage the pelt. These bullets are proven in the field to provide exceptional accuracy and a level of expansion that best suits a given varmint or predator application.

The Low Drag bullets are made from a special design that is very effective as a short to medium range varmint/predator bullet.
