The Choice Ammunition Ballistics Calculator

Coming September 2026. Free to use. No login, no downloads.

For years we sent shooters to JBM Ballistics to run their trajectory numbers. JBM has now permanently shut down — and we decided that was our cue to build something better, right here, connected to the ammunition we hand-load.

What it will do

Enter your load, your zero, and your conditions. Get back a full trajectory table:

  • Bullet drop at any range, in inches, MOA, or MIL
  • Wind drift for the wind speed and angle you set
  • Velocity and energy at every distance on the table
  • Time of flight to your target
  • Zero and sight height — set your zero range and scope height, see the true path
  • Atmospherics — temperature, altitude, and pressure inputs so the numbers match the conditions you actually hunt in
  • Your barrel, not just our test barrel — enter your barrel length and the calculator adjusts velocity from our test data, or plug in your own chronograph reading
  • G1 and G7 ballistic coefficient support

The part nobody else has

Every Choice Ammunition rifle load will have the calculator built into its product page — pre-loaded with the ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity, and bullet weight from our actual load data. One click from any round we hand-load to its full trajectory table.

Want to compare a 180 gr TTSX against a 180 gr AccuBond in your .300 Win Mag before you buy? Side-by-side comparison is built in.

Why we’re building it

Because “will this load do the job at 400 yards?” is a question you should be able to answer before you order — without leaving the page, without a spreadsheet, and without software that costs more than a box of ammunition. We hand-load every round we sell and we publish the data to prove it. The calculator puts that data to work.

Need to run numbers today?

While we build, Shooterscalculator.com is a solid free option. We’ll see you back here in September.

FAQ

What is a ballistics calculator?
A ballistics calculator predicts a bullet’s flight path. From the ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity, and your sight setup, it calculates drop, wind drift, remaining velocity, energy, and time of flight at each distance — so you know your holdover before you’re behind the rifle.

What happened to JBM Ballistics?
JBM Ballistics, the free online calculator many shooters relied on for years, permanently shut down in 2026. The Choice Ammunition ballistics calculator is being built as a free replacement, connected directly to our hand-loaded ammunition data.

Will the calculator work for ammunition you don’t sell?
Yes. Every input — ballistic coefficient, muzzle velocity, bullet weight — can be entered manually, so you can run numbers for any load. Choice Ammunition rifle loads come pre-filled from our published load data.

When does it launch?
September 2026. Newsletter subscribers get the link the morning it goes live.
