.25-06 Remington 115 Berger VLD-Hunting~ The .25-06 Remington had been a wildcat cartridge for half a century before being standardized by Remington in 1969. It is based on the .30-06 Springfield cartridge necked-down (case opening made narrower) to .257 caliber with no other changes. Nominal bullet diameter is 0.257 inches and bullet weights range from 75 to 120 grains. The cartridge has less felt recoil than a 30-06 in a similar weight rifle, due to the lighter weight bullets used. Shooters who are recoil sensitive will find the recoil from the 25-06 bearable, but not pleasant enough to shoot all day long. This cartridge is not quite as powerful as the .257 Weatherby Magnum, usually running 200–300 ft/s (61–91 m/s). slower with a given bullet weight.
.25-caliber bullets typically have high ballistic coefficients without being heavy. This characteristic, when combined with the large case capacity of its parent .30-06 case, allows relatively high muzzle velocities without heavy recoil. The combination of high ballistic coefficients with high muzzle velocities give the .25-06 a very flat trajectory as well as retaining kinetic energy down-range. The .25-06 is generally considered to be a good round for medium-sized game such as deer and antelope because of its combination of substantial kinetic energy and moderate recoil. The addition of a flat trajectory makes it particularly popular in plains states where the open fields can require longer-range shots on game, as this flatness tends to minimize range-estimation errors by the hunter.
Our 100% Hand-Loaded .25-06 120 grain Nosler Partition rounds are loaded with extremely tight tolerances, producing highly accurate, consistent and reliable performance with each and every shot! Proprietary load formulas and our hand loading techniques offer the finest ammunition on the commercial market today.
The Bullet-
Nosler’s special lead alloy, dual core provides superior mushrooming performance at virtually all impact velocities. The Partition’s fully tapered copper jacket gradually thickens along the bullet’s axis, controlling the core’s mushroom for controlled, uniform expansion. An integral partition separates the bullet’s two cores, holding two-thirds of the bullet’s original weight in the rear core to fuel a deep penetration every time. Special crimp locks help the bullet resist deformation, even with the heaviest of magnum loads. Each Partition bullet is designed by Nosler engineers to give you the optimum length, weight, and ogive design for each caliber to give you maximum flight and terminal performance. Minimum impact velocity: 1800 fps. There aren’t a lot of true disadvantages to this bullet because it is truly “debugged” technology. Newer bullets are very specialized for certain uses – some are for large game, some are for long range, and some are just for penetration or expansion. The Nosler Partition is more of a “jack of all trades and master of none” at this stage in bullet technology.
.243 Winchester 100 Grain Nosler Partition~ The .243 Winchester (6×52mm) is a popular sporting rifle cartridge. Initially designed as a target/varmint round, it may be used for animals such as coyotes, blacktail deer, whitetail deer, mule deer, pronghorns, and wild hogs. It can also be used against larger animals such as black bears and elk but is sometimes said to be “too light” for such large animals. Rounds of at least 90 grains are better suited for hunting larger animals while rounds less than 90 grains are more suitable for varmints. The .243 is based on a necked down .308 cartridge case. It is very popular with target shooters, metallic silhouette, and long range shooters, because of its accuracy and low recoil. This cartridge was first introduced in 1955 for the Winchester Model 70 bolt-action and Model 88 lever-action sporting rifles and quickly gained popularity among sportsmen worldwide. Just about every major manufacturer offers rifles chambered in .243.

.300 Weatherby 180 grain Barnes Tipped Triple Shock (TTSX)~ Roy Weatherby already had experience with other custom cartridges such as his own .270 Weatherby Magnum when he created the .300 Weatherby. Like most of his other magnum cartridges, this is based on a blown-out .300 H&H Magnum case, using the signature Weatherby double-radius shoulder.
It is often debated which came first the 300 Winchester Magnum or the 300 Weatherby Magnum, the Weatherby was first 1944 vs the Winchester was introduced in 1963. With the .300 Remington Ultra Magnum being introduced in 1999. Historically, Weatherby claimed that this is the most powerful .30 caliber magnum rifle commercially available, but the recently introduced .300 RUM and Weatherby’s own .30-378 Weatherby Magnum are now more powerful. One could say, the .300 Weatherby was 50 years ahead of its time as it has only been recently that suitable optics and range finders for long range hunting have been available to the public at affordable prices.
The .300 Wby is in common use by big-game hunters all over the world.
Choice Ammunition has taken our 100% hand-loading techniques and produce an extremely accurate, highly dependable round for the .300 Weatherby in this load. Our loading tolerances are only matched by passionate hand-loaders in their own loading rooms. Consistent seating depths, powder charges and proprietary formulas of Choice Ammunition, make this 180 grain Barnes TTSX round the best you can buy on the commercial market today.
The Bullet
The Tipped Triple-Shock bullet delivers the same “three strikes you’re out” rule. Once as it strikes game, two as the bullet begins to open and a third impact when the cavity fully expands to deliver extra shock with maximum transferred energy. The added polymer tip creates a faster expansion rate as well as better long range ballistics. Ideal for deer-sized game.
These high-performance rounds provide excellent reliability, consistency, accuracy and stopping power for hunting most game.

.223 REMINGTON 55 grain Hornady V-Max-
The development of the cartridge which eventually became the .223 Remington was intrinsically linked to the development of a new lightweight combat rifle. The cartridge and rifle were developed by Fairchild Industries, Remington Arms and several engineers working toward a goal developed by U.S. Continental Army Command (CONARC). Early development work began in 1957. A project to create a small caliber high velocity (SCHV) firearm was created. Eugene Stoner of ArmaLite was invited to scale down the AR-10 (7.62 mm) design. Winchester was also invited to participate. The parameters requested by CONARC were:

.223 REMINGTON 55 grain Hornady V-Max Bullets feature a polymer tip which enhances accuracy and promotes devastating expansion. The tip raises the ballistic coefficient for faster velocity and helps to stabilize the bullet in flight. It also acts as a wedge, initiating bullet expansion.
The Bullet:
The V-Max-The ideal combination of accuracy, expansion, and fragmentation.
With its combination of proven materials, innovative design and streamlined profile, the Hornady V-MAX represent the pinnacle of what a specialized varmint bullet can achieve, offering straight-line trajectories, enhanced accuracy, dramatic expansion and explosive fragmentation at a wide range of distances and velocities.
The industry’s leading varmint bullet with polymer tip and streamlined design results in flat trajectories. The concentricity of the match grade AMP® bullet jacket provides maximum accuracy at all ranges as well as explosive expansion, even at velocities as low as 1600 fps.
The secret to the explosive terminal performance of the V-Max® is a hollow cavity resting between the tip’s shaft and the body of the bullet. Upon impact, the hard shaft builds up speed and energy before driving into the core, causing the entire package to rapidly expand to the point of violent fragmentation, even at low terminal velocities.
Hornady combines the sharp, pointed polymer tip with the most aerodynamic profile for a high ballistic coefficient. The V-MAX® profile also provides the maximum bearing surface for added in-flight stability.
The swaging process allows the precise formation of the core up and around the tip, with a cavity under the tip’s stem. This allows the tip to build up energy before smashing into the core, causing dramatic fragmentation of the core and jacket.
Utilizing the proper base design provides incredible in-flight stability for long-range shooting.
