.378 WEATHERBY MAGNUM 300 GRAIN BARNES BANDED SOLID~100% HAND-LOADED!!

.378 Weatherby Magnum 300 Grain Barnes Banded Solid- The .378 Weatherby Magnum was designed by Roy Weatherby in 1953. It was an original belted magnum design with no parent case, inspired by the .416 Rigby and headspacing of the belted .375 H&H Magnum. Considered a safari-grade cartridge, the .378 Weatherby Magnum is appropriate for taking all African game animals from large African antelopes, Nile crocodile, hippopotamus, to the Big Five game. Some hunters on the North American continent employ the .378 for American elk hunting, brown bear hunting, and polar bear.

Designed to replace the 375 Weatherby Magnum, deep penetration and bone smashing power are the calling cards of the 378. Roy Weatherby’s 378 delivers 34 percent more energy at the muzzle than the powerful 375 H&H Magnum. Since 1955, the 378 has become one of the world’s most popular cartridges for the largest of big game animals.

Ammunition loaded with the 300 gr or heavier bullet the .375 H&H is adequate for heavy thick skinned dangerous game such as elephant and rhinoceros in most conditions. There is some speculation that the .375 H&H Magnum has been used to take more Big Five game than any other cartridge. Even today, many professional hunters, outfitters and wildlife management personnel in Africa continue to rely on the .375 H&H Magnum to carry out their duties throughout the continent.

Choice Ammunition meticulously hand-loads 100% of our ammunition to insure superior performance, accuracy and reliability. These 350 grain Barnes Banded Solids for the .375 H&H are ideal for most dangerous game and large bodied animals. Don’t compromise with “Factory” ammunition when it really counts! The Bullet-

The Triple-Shock X Bullets (TSX) are made of 100% copper and contain no lead. When the bullet expands, four razor-sharp cutting petals are created, allowing the bullet to penetrate farther through tough bone and tissue. These bullets usually retain 100% of their original weight, making them a superb choice for hunting. This ammunition is new production, non-corrosive, in boxer-primed, reloadable brass cases.
