6.5 Creedmoor 130 Grain SWIFT SCIROCCO~100% HAND-LOADED!!

$69.99

6.5 Creedmoor 130 grain Swift Scirocco~ The 6.5mm Creedmoor, is a centerfire rifle cartridge introduced in 2007 as a modification of the .30 TC, which was based on the .308 Winchester. It was designed specifically for long-range target shooting, although it is also achieving success in game hunting. Bullet for bullet, the 6.5mm Creedmoor achieves a slower muzzle velocity than longer cartridges such as the 6.5-284 Norma or magnum cartridges such as the 6.5mm Remington Magnum. However, due to its 2.825 inches (71.8 mm) overall length, it is capable of being chambered in short-action bolt-action rifles and AR-10 semi-automatic rifles.

Long-range shooter Ray “RayDog” Sanchez summarized the bolt-action Tubb 2000 rifle in 6.5mm Creedmoor as “boringly accurate” at 1,000 yards (910 m). He asserted the rifle and ammunition combination he used was able to maintain sub-MOA groups at 1000 yards.

Choice Ammunition has taken our 100% hand-loading techniques and produce an extremely accurate, highly dependable round for the 6.5 CREEDMOOR in this load. Our loading tolerances are only matched by passionate hand-loaders in their own loading rooms. Consistent seating depths, powder charges and proprietary formulas of Choice Ammunition, make this 120 Grain Swift Scirocco round the best you can buy on the commercial market today.

The Bullet:

The Swift Scirocco bonded is the perfect bullet design for today’s fast, flat-shooting long range cartridges. Its secant ogive, 15 degree boat tail base and polymer tip create a sleek, aerodynamic profile that helps maintain down-range velocities and flat trajectories. The extra heavy tapering jacket wall with an internally bonded lead core provides structural integrity, reliable expansion and penetration with over 70% weight retention.

Choice Ammunition has introduced the 140 grain Nosler Partition with the same 100% hand-loading techniques as our other calibers. Our loading techniques and extremely tight tolerances are only matched by passionate hand-loaders in their own loading rooms. Our consistencies box to box and lot to lot, are created by continuous testing at the range- adjusting varied powder and brass lot formulas to match exact velocities and points of impact as the last time we loaded this caliber. Exact seating depths and our proprietary load formulas produce a round of ammunition you can count on for accuracy and dependability each and every time- and at that critical moment in the field when it all comes down to the shot!

    The Bullet

Partition Bullets feature a fully tapered jacket that ruptures instantly at the thin jacket mouth, yet the gradual thickening along the bullet’s axis controls expansion and curls the jacket uniformly outward at high or low velocities. Nosler’s integral Partition supports the expanded mushroom and retains the rear lead alloy core. The enclosed rear core retains more than half the original bullet weight for deep penetration. The special crimp locks in the rear core section, adding strength to resist deformation under the pressure of heavy magnums. This makes this round no match for Deer, Sheep, Pronghorn and Black Bear and other medium-sized game.

The Berger VLD Hunting bullet line features Very Low Drag (VLD) bullets that have the highest possible ballistic coefficient designed for 300 yards or more, the design incorporates a sharp nose that allows the bullet to penetrate 2″ to 3″ before it starts to expand. After the initial expansion, the bullet will shed between 40% and 85% of its weight as shrapnel into the surrounding tissue (internal organs). The combination between the shrapnel and the hydrostatic shock produces a massive wound cavity within the vital area that will be 13″ – 15″ long. This massive wound cavity results in the animal dropping fast since most go into shock after such a tremendous blow. Those animals that don’t go down immediately will soon succumb to blood pressure loss and/or organ failure producing a quick ethical kill.

    100-PERCENT COPPER BODY

Since its introduction in 2003, Barnes’ TSX Bullet has earned a reputation as “the perfect hunting bullet.” Now, Barnes has improved on perfection by adding a streamlined polymer tip. The new Tipped TSX features the same 100-percent copper body with multiple rings cut into the shank. It delivers the same gnat’s-eyelash accuracy and “dead right there” performance—but with an added polymer tip that boosts BC and improves long-range ballistics. The tip and a re-engineered nose cavity provide even faster expansion. Complete penetration, virtually 100-percent weight retention and four razor-sharp cutting petals that double bullet diameter means the new Tipped TSX creates more internal damage than any competing bullet. Instant expansion and perfect penetration ensures cleaner, quicker kills.

Through an exclusive bonding process that eliminates voids in the bullet core, AccuBond couples Nosler’s proven copper-alloy jacket with its special lead-alloy core. The result is a bullet that flies true, penetrates deep and retains its weight, without causing extensive barrel fouling. The unique white polymer tip resists deforming and initiates expansion on impact. Nosler’s Solid Base at the rear of the bullet acts as a platform for large diameter mushrooms.

    The Bullet-

    Image result for eld-x bullets

The Heat Shield tip of the Hornady ELD-X bullet defies the effects of aerodynamic heating and retains its shape to provide a perfect meplat (tip) that is always the same shape. A streamlined secant ogive with optimum boattail design, plus the highly concentric AMP bullet jackets, combined with the patent pending Heat Shield tip creates a supremely accurate, high BC match bullet. ELD-Match bullet BCs are measured with Doppler radar and corrected to standard atmospheric conditions. With high velocity, 0-400 yard impact, the bullet continually expands throughout its penetration path. The thick shank of the jacket and high Interlock ring keep the core and jacket together providing 50-60% weight retention. Upon low velocity, 400+ yard impacts, the Heat Shield tip drives backward into the bullet to initiate expansion. Exhibiting conventional expansion with a large mushroom and 85-90% retained weight the bullet provides deep penetration and large wound cavities.
