.44 Magnum 200 Grain Hornady XTPElmer Keith, championed the concept of higher powered big-bore revolvers with Smith & Wesson and Remington Arms, eventually leading to the development of the .357, .41, and .44 Magnums. Keith’s suggested designation for the proposed .44 caliber round was the “.44 Special Magnum,” but when Remington Arms developed the cartridge they chose to name it the .44 Remington Magnum. Nonetheless, the new cartridge was developed directly from the .44 Special design by simply lengthening the older case by .125 inch. Remington’s stated rationale for the making of this change was to preclude higher pressured Magnum loads from being chambered in .44 Special revolvers.

With our 100% hand-loading techniques- We place the same care and passion into each and every round produced as those do in their own private loading rooms. These techniques produce the most reliable, accurate round of ammunition available on the market today!

The Bullet-

Hornady XTP Bullets feature a performance-improved point that has 6 precise folds to divide the bullet into symmetrical sections and initiate controlled expansion at low velocities while not fragmenting at higher velocities. They expand reliably at a wide range of velocities for a deep, terminal penetration with every shot.

Designed for hunting, self-defense and law enforcement applications, the XTP bullet demonstrates the kind of accuracy that led many competitive shooters to adopt it. Reliable performance makes the XTP the most popular handgun bullet for both target shooters and hunters. But it’s the stopping power of the XTP bullet that has truly built its world-class reputation. From the onset, XTP bullets were specifically designed to expand reliably at a wide range of handgun velocities to deliver deep penetration with every shot.

  • Velocity  1,570 FPS
  • 100% hand loaded with superior quality and performance

Product Features

CONTROLLED EXPANSION

Precise serrations divide the XTP® into symmetrical sections, strategically weakening the jacket and initiating controlled expansion even at low velocities.

NO EXPOSED LEAD

The gilding metal jacket protects the nose of the bullet, so the hollow cavity functions properly on impact and ensures proper feeding in semi-automatics.

SWAGED CORE

Total uniformity of core density ensures balanced expansion as well as in-flight stability.

DRAWN GILDING METAL JACKET

Expansion is controlled by varying jacket thickness down the length of the XTP, providing a definite advantage over plated bullets which have a uniform jacket thickness over the entire bullet.

These high-performance rounds provide excellent reliability, consistency, accuracy, penetration and stopping power for personal protection.

All brass is carefully selected to ensure it meets our unusually high standards for reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, proper hardness and the ability to withstand maximum chamber pressures.

Powders in each cartridge are loaded to ensure optimal pressure, velocity and consistency from lot to lot. Each primer is matched to individual loads and specifically selected for their ability to quickly, completely, and reliably ignite the powder charge.

  • “Love these hollow points! Did a side by side with some federal American Eagles and I was blown away at the performance of these. Just absolutely amazing. I’m gonna order another 200 next week! You guys offer some quality stuff for such a great price! Thank you again!” J-Patterson

44 Magnum 240 Grain Plated Target Hollow Points- Our Superior Plated Bullets are swaged and plated to final weight and re-struck for accuracy and precision. They are more affordable than jacketed rounds and won’t foul your barrel with lead. These Target Hollow Points are similar to the flat point profile but the hollow point nose cuts a cleaner hole through the target and allows the bullet profile to be longer providing more contact area with the barrel and rifling to stabilize the bullet and improve accuracy.

We develop these loads through rigorous testing for superior accuracy and reliability.

  • .44 Magnum 200 Grain Hi-Tek Coated RNFP~ Our coated bullets have become such a hit with our “Cowboy Choice” line, we decided to introduce these tremendously popular bullets into our “Range Choice” lines of ammunition! Our range ammunition is produced with the same loading process as anything we do- 100% Hand-Loaded techniques producing the tightest loading tolerances in the industry, which equates to superior reliability and accuracy!

We use a unique heat-set “HI-TEK Supercoat” manufactured in Australia, where it has been used for more than 20 years. The Hi-Tek Supercoat Bullet Coating totally encapsulates the lead projectiles and replaces standard wax lube.
Hi-Tek Supercoat bullets are safe to shoot indoors.  The coating gives off no toxic out-gassing or particulate matter when fired. The coating is absolutely non abrasive and contains no PTFE or MOLY. There is no wax lube and it minimizes your exposure to lead. The end result is cleaner air, cleaner hands, cleaner equipment and cleaner guns!
Check out a video of the Hi-Tek coating process here and see why you might want us to do it for you (but it’s worth it)!!

    Velocity: 1,000 FPS

    Approved for Indoor Ranges!

    • Our bullets greatly reduce the amount of smoke normally associated with cast bullets
    • Lead fouling of the bore is drastically reduced or in most cases, eliminated completely
    • Our coating gives off no toxins or particulate matter when fired
    • Is 100% non abrasive and contains no PTFE or MOLY
    • They are completely safe to use in Glock’s polygonal rifled barrels
    • There is no risk of receiving bullets, only to find that the lube has melted or shaken out of the lube groove
    • Greatly minimizes your exposure to lead

Grain Semi-Wadcutter (SWC)~ A bullet design that used to rule the roost but today is certainly underutilized is the semi wadcutter. The semiwadcutter is something of a middle ground between hard bullets such as full metal jacket and hard-cast rounds and softer and expanding rounds such as soft-cast and hollow point rounds.A Semi-Wadcutter bullet perfect for target shooting and plinking. The nose and sharp should allow the bullet to punch a clean hole through paper targets making scoring simple and precise.

    • Velocity 1,150 fps
    • 100% Hand Loaded

A semi-wadcutter or SWC is a type of all-purpose bullet commonly used in revolvers. The SWC combines features of the wadcutter target bullet and traditional round nosed revolver bullets, and is used in cartridges for hunting, target shooting, and plinking.
