    .25-06 Remington 115 Berger VLD-Hunting~ The .25-06 Remington had been a wildcat cartridge for half a century before being standardized by Remington in 1969. It is based on the .30-06 Springfield cartridge necked-down (case opening made narrower) to .257 caliber with no other changes.     .243 Winchester 100 Grain Nosler Partition~ The .243 Winchester (6×52mm) is a popular sporting rifle cartridge. Initially designed as a target/varmint round, it may be used for animals such as coyotes, blacktail deer, whitetail deer, mule deer, pronghorns, and wild hogs. It can also be used against larger animals such as black bears and elk but is sometimes said to be “too light” for such large animals.
