  • .38 Special 125 Grain Hornady XTP~ Hornady XTP Bullets feature a performance-improved point that has 6 precise folds to divide the bullet into symmetrical sections and initiate controlled expansion at low velocities while not fragmenting at higher velocities. They expand reliably at a wide range of velocities for a deep, terminal penetration with every shot.

Designed for hunting, self-defense and law enforcement applications, the XTP bullet demonstrates the kind of accuracy that led many competitive shooters to adopt it. Reliable performance makes the XTP the most popular handgun bullet for both target shooters and hunters. But it’s the stopping power of the XTP bullet that has truly built its world-class reputation. From the onset, XTP bullets were specifically designed to expand reliably at a wide range of handgun velocities to deliver deep penetration with every shot.

    Product Features

    CONTROLLED EXPANSION

Precise serrations divide the XTP® into symmetrical sections, strategically weakening the jacket and initiating controlled expansion even at low velocities.

    NO EXPOSED LEAD

The gilding metal jacket protects the nose of the bullet, so the hollow cavity functions properly on impact and ensures proper feeding in semi-automatics.

    SWAGED CORE

Total uniformity of core density ensures balanced expansion as well as in-flight stability.

    DRAWN GILDING METAL JACKET

Expansion is controlled by varying jacket thickness down the length of the XTP, providing a definite advantage over plated bullets which have a uniform jacket thickness over the entire bullet.

These high-performance rounds provide excellent reliability, consistency, accuracy, penetration and stopping power for personal protection.

  • .38 Special Hi-Tek Coated Lead 158 grain RNFP Range Ammo- With our 100% hand-loading techniques- We place the same care and passion into each and every round produced as those do in their own private loading rooms. These techniques produce the most reliable, accurate round of ammunition available on the market today!

We use a unique heat-set “HI-TEK Supercoat” manufactured in Australia, where it has been used for more than 20 years. The Hi-Tek Supercoat Bullet Coating totally encapsulates the lead projectiles and replaces standard wax lube.
Our bullets are “Hard-Cast.” Hard cast bullets are just that: harder. We use a 92% Lead/6% Antimony/2% Tin bullet alloy for casting all bullets.
Hi-Tek Supercoat bullets are safe to shoot indoors.  The coating gives off no toxic out-gassing or particulate matter when fired. The coating is absolutely nonabrasive and contains no PTFE or MOLY. There is no wax lube and it minimizes your exposure to lead. The end result is cleaner air, cleaner hands, cleaner equipment and cleaner guns!
Check out a video of the Hi-Tek coating process here and see why you might want us to do it for you!!

    • Our bullets greatly reduce the amount of smoke normally associated with cast bullets
    • Lead fouling of the bore is drastically reduced or in most cases, eliminated completely
    • Our coating gives off no toxins or particulate matter when fired
    • Is 100% non abrasive and contains no PTFE or MOLY
    • They are completely safe to use in Glock’s polygonal rifled barrels
    • There is no risk of receiving bullets, only to find that the lube has melted or shaken out of the lube groove
    • Greatly minimizes your exposure to lead
  • .38 Special 125 grain Plated Flat Point- These Plated Flat Point Bullets are swaged and plated to final weight and re-struck for accuracy and precision.  This premium, precise plating not only reduces the amount of lead exposure during shooting, it also helps keep your bore much cleaner. The flat point design minimizes expansion and the keeps the bullet traveling straight even through heavy hide and bone. The Flat Point also makes a good choice for target practice, well suited for deep straight line penetration.

Question: What is the difference between Plated/Jacketed/Cast bullets?
    • Our bullets begin as a swaged lead core. The plating process works through electrolysis as the lead cores are tumbled in an electrically charged bath containing high-grade copper ingots. The copper clings to the lead and the longer the bullets remain in the bath, the thicker the plating. Our bullets are plated to the correct size and then taken out of the bath.
    • Jacketed bullets start with a copper cup, which is “drawn up” into the form of a jacket. Lead is then swaged into the jacket.
Question: How thick is the “jacket” on your bullets?
    • Depending upon the caliber, the thickness of the plating on our bullets, ranges from 3.5 up to 8 thousandths of an inch of plating on each side. This is thicker than paper and ensures no lead in your bore. The bullets designed for higher velocities (45-70, 500 S&W etc.) have the thickest plating.

  • .38 Special 148 Grain Wadcutter~ Unlike a normal bullet that tapers down to a point, a wadcutter has an entirely flat front as wide as the cartridge. In other words, the round is completely cylindrical. Who would want to use such a bullet? Competitive shooters. Normal bullets make holes that can be tough to differentiate when you’re scoring a paper target that’s had a number of shots put through it. Wadcutters were designed to punch distinct circular holes in paper targets, making life a lot easier when determining who won a competitive shooting match.

    • Velocity 800 fps

So while we wouldn’t recommend you use wadcutters for self-defense or hunting, their slow velocity is actually very beneficial when training new shooters. Bullets with low velocities have greatly reduced recoil and are really handy when someone is learning the basics of shooting.
